Indications

For prevention of diseases in pigs and calves caused by bacteria sensitive to chlortetracycline.

Composition

 

12 g / kg chlortetracycline (includes 2 g overage).

Carrier: sucrose.

Directions

For use in pigs or calves up to 12 weeks of age.

AUROFAC-D is recommended for addition to liquid milk replacer feed of calves. It may also be mixed with dry feed for pigs or calves.

PIGS

Thoroughly mix 10 kg AUROFAC-D dispersible antibiotic feed supplement with each tonne of starter feed. (1% inclusion)

CALVES

Thoroughly mix 5 g AUROFAC-D dispersible antibiotic feed supplement with each 500 g of dry feed. (1% inclusion)

For young calves on liquid feed, each 500 g of dry milk replacer feed fortified with AUROFAC-D can be made up to 5 litres by the addition of lukewarm water.

The above dosages are for low level prophylaxis, and depending on feed type and consumption rate will provide approximately 250 - 500 mg / kg bodyweight of AUROFAC-D.

Indicative bodyweight dose rates for AUROFAC-D are:

Prophylaxis: 250 – 1250 mg / kg - body weight of AUROFAC-D.

Treatment: 1250 – 6000 mg / kg - body weight of AUROFAC-D.
