DE-ODORASE™ FARM PAK
Indications
For use in manure pits to aid in the control of odours associated with intensive livestock production.
Composition
FARM PAK: 36 g / kg Yucca shidigera extract as a free-flowing powder.
Carrier: PrebaseTM
Directions
Add 1 kg DE-ODORASE™ FARM PAK to each tonne of feed, to be fed continuously. The inclusion level may be reduced to 500 g / tonne once odour control is achieved (usually 4 to 8 weeks).
For initial treatment of manure pits DE-ODORASE™ CONCENTRATE should be added directly to the pit in accordance with the directions for use on the DE-ODORASE™ CONCENTRATE pack.
PIGS
Starter: Add 1 kg DE-ODORASE™ FARM PAK to each tonne of feed, to be fed continuously.
Grower and Breeder: Add 1 kg DE-ODORASE™ FARM PAK to each tonne of feed, to be fed continuously. The inclusion level may be reduced to 500 g / tonne once odour control is achieved (usually 4 to 8 weeks).
POULTRY, SHEEP & GOATS
Add 500 g DE-ODORASE™ FARM PAK to each tonne of feed, to be fed continuously.
Discussion
DE-ODORASE is composed of long chain polysaccharides possessing abundant chemical binding sites, which physically bond to odorous compounds including ammonia, hydrogen sulphide, skatoles and indoles. When complexed to the large DE-ODORASE molecules, these undesirable odour-producing compounds cannot enter the atmosphere where they can cause harm and nuisance.
DE-ODORASE™ is produced from an extract of Yucca shidigera, a plant found in the deserts of America and Mexico. The final product is a standardised and premixed presentation formulated to provide convenient addition rates for on farm use.
