Feather Meal is a major by-product of the slaughter industry and is an important ingredient for the diets of pigs and poultry.

Can be included in the diets of Pigs, Poultry and Horses. Please consult your animal nutritionist to determine correct diet ratios.
Discussion
Feather meal is produced by cooking the feathers from slaughtered poultry at 140 degrees C and a pressure of 200kpa for 30 minutes to hydrolyse the keratin protein. The cooked product is then ground and dried to produce the meal.
