Fish meal is a by-product of the fishing industry. It is a valuable protein that is used in pig and poultry diets. It has a good amino acid profile including lysine and methionine.

Directions for use
Use as directed by your Consultant Nutritionist.
Fish meal can be used in poultry and pig diets for all ages. It is important
to note that fish meals have a fishy flavour and oily smell if the inclusion
level goes above 7%
.
Some processors may require that no fish meal be used in finisher diets
for pigs prior to slaughter.

Suggested inclusion levels are as follows:
Pigs Creep & Weaner 10%
Poultry Broiler 10%
Layer 3%

Discussion
Fish meals can vary greatly in nutrient levels and quality depending on
the source and the fish used to manufacture the meal. Again this will vary
the protein and amino acid levels.
It is very important to check the fish type and the protein levels
prior to purchasing fish meal.
