Indications
A specifically formulated premix to supplement diets for elite premium genotype creep, weaner, grower and finisher pigs where vitamin and mineral levels may be low.

Directions
For Creep and Weaner Pigs
Thoroughly mix 3kg of HOGRO™ PLATINUM WEANER GROWER to each 1 tonne of mixed feed to supplement the diets of elite premium genotype creep and weaner pigs with essential vitamin and minerals.
For Grower and Finisher Pigs
Thoroughly mix 2kg of HOGROTM PLATINUM WEANER GROWER to each 1 tonne of mixed feed to supplement the diet of elite premium genotype grower and finisher pigs with essential vitamin and minerals.
To ensure even dispersion of the premix in the ration it is recommended that each kg of premix is first blended with 4kg of feed and this blend is then thoroughly mixed with the remainder of the feed.
Discussion
HOGRO™ PLATINUM WEANER GROWER vitamin and mineral premix contains high levels of vitamin B2, E, Niacin and Iron required by the young piglet. The high levels are designed to assist with the high growth demands of the elite premium genotype pig. HOGRO™ PLATINUM WEANER GROWER PREMIX is also indicated when food intake is limited, as may occur with stress or disease.
Microvit E promix has been included as it is essential as a cell antioxidant
and is important for its role in immune functions. Elite genotype creep, weaner
and grower finisher pigs may have an elevated requirement for vitamin E. HOGROTM
PLATINIUM WEANER GROWER will provide 60g per tonne of finished feed
Niacin, B2 and Folic are also included in this premix to meet the requirements
of rapid growth.
All BEC premixes are designed to maximise vitamin stability and potency. Each kilogram of this premix
contains 40g of antioxidant to guard against vitamin degradation. The fat-soluble vitamins A,D and K, are most prone to oxidation and loss of activity when mixed and stored with minerals. To further enhance the stability of vitamins Microvit A1000 SUPRA is used, utilising the special coating technology to protect individual beadlets from abrasive and destabilising influences of a vitamin and mineral premix.
Choline Chloride is not included in this premix because many studies have shown it to adversely affect the potency of other vitamins. Choline Chloride is however a necessary vitamin for creep and weaner rations up to 300 to 600g/tonne, and in grower and finisher rations up to 400grams/tonne or as recommended by your consulting nutritionist.
It is proven that Mixability™ of micronutrients into a complete feeds greatly enhanced with a higher inclusion level. Poorly distributed premixes may result in variable micronutrient intake of food utilisation. For this reason HOGROTM SUPRA PLATINUM WEANER GROWER is included at 3 and 2kg/tonne of finished feed.
