Indications
A specifically formulated premix to supplement diets for commercial creep weaner and grower and finisher pigs where vitamin and mineral levels may be low.

Directions
For Creep and Weaner Pigs
Thoroughly mix 2kg of HOGRO™ SILVER WEANER GROWER PREMIX to each 1 tonne
of mixed feed to supplement the diets of commercial creep and weaner pigs
with essential vitamins and minerals.
For Grower and Finisher Pigs
Thoroughly mix 1.5 kg of HOGRO™SILVER WEANER GROWER PREMIX to each 1 tonne
of mixed feed to supplement the diets of commercial grower and finisher pigs
with essential vitamins and minerals.
To ensure even dispersion of premix in the total ration it is recommended that each kg of premix is first blended with 4kg of feed and that this blend is then thoroughly mixed with the remainder of the feed.
Discussion
HOGRO™ SILVER WEANER GROWER vitamin and mineral pig premix provides the levels of fat soluble and B group vitamins to supplement the requirements of commercial genotype piglets, to maximise feed conversion efficiency, growth and to combat the challenge of disease. HOGRO™ SILVER also provides supplementary trace minerals for the young piglet.
All BEC premixes are designed to maximise vitamin stability and potency. Each 1kg of this premix contains 33g of antioxidant to guard against vitamin degradation. The fat-soluble vitamins A, D and K, are most prone to oxidation and loss of activity when mixed and stored with minerals. To further enhance the stability of vitamins A and D3 only MICROVIT™ A and D3 are used. MICROVIT™ A and D3 utilises a special coating technology to protect individual beadlets of vitamins A and D3 from the abrasive and destabilising influences of a mineral and vitamin premix.
Choline Chloride is not included in this premix because many studies have shown it to adversely affect the potency of other vitamins.
Choline chloride is however a necessary vitamin, especially for rapidly growing pigs and hence should be included in creep and weaner rations at 300 to 600g/tonne, for grower and finisher pigs the recommended rate is up to 400g/tonne, or as recommended by your consulting nutritionist.
Even dispersion of the premix in the final feed is essential to ensure that
each pig receives its daily intake of vitamins and minerals. Higher inclusion
rates enhance premix dispersion in the final feed due to the increased number
of premix particles present. The HOGRO™ SILVER use rate of 2kg and 1.5kg/tonne
provides 50% more particles for dispersion than a standard 1kg/tonne premix.
The quality of HOGRO™ premixes is not limited to our vitamins and minerals.
Carriers, diluents and dust suppressants are skilfully selected to ensure the
customer is provided with a consistent, non-dusty, evenly distributed product.
Dustiness in premixes may be hazardous to the mixing operator and result in
valuable vitamins and trace elements not reaching the young pig.
