Events attended this year

Farmfest
Farmfest was held in the first week of June at Toowoomba. As usual it was an exciting affair, with display stands and farm equipment on display ranging from boots and belts to the latest and greatest tractors, fencing alternatives, horse floats and barns.
It was a great chance to catch up with many of our existing customers, especially from the dairy and beef industries and to demonstrate our commitment to ongoing support with our onsite nutritionist giving advice on feed additives and premixes that have proven extremely effective for enhancing animal health and promoting higher milk yeilds. There were quite a large number of our dairy farming clients who produce for Parmalat in attendance.
It was also encouraging to see the number of schools taking an interest in the rural industries and sending a great number of students to this event
The weather was kind with three lovely sunny days, making it enjoyable for the attendees to wander around the displays.

Pan Pacific Pork Expo
BEC recently featured our custom designed premixes for the Pig Industry at the Pan Pacific Pork Expo held in the Convention Centre on the Gold Coast.
These products are manufactured at one of our two Carole Park plants and distributed throughout Australia via our Wholesale Distribution Alliance Stores.

Poultry Industry Exhibition (PIX2008)- June 30th - July 2nd
We had a trade stand in the PIX area at the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre. This was a great opportunity to display the range of products that BEC manufacture and distribute in relation to the poultry industry. There was a huge international attendance with delegates from Egypt, Nigeria, Peru, Argentina, Fiji, Germany and many other points of the globe.
Included in our display stand was a continually running PowerPoint presentation discussing our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which has put us at the forefront of premix manufacturing in Australia.
There was plenty of opportunity to discuss with the many interested delegates the range of Animal and Vegetable protein meals that we have available, as well as the array of Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids and Fats and oils that are of benefit to this industy.
We were also fortunate to take the opportunity to catch up with many of our existing clientele, including Inghams and Goodman Fielder Fiji.
